Taking the Plunge!

Hello Blogosphere!

I'm Samantha and I'm FINALLY deciding to stop being a blog reader and start being a blog writer. I've been lurking on teaching blogs for about two years now too scared to start my own, thinking I won't have enough time to keep it up. I decided to take the plunge and make the time to share what is going on in my classroom and in my head, in regards to teaching and education.

I'm Ms. Ayscue to my wonderful fourth and fifth graders. This is my second year teaching, last year I taught 6th and 7th grade. I teach social studies and language arts in a small charter school in central North Carolina. I'm the only 4th and 5th grade ELA/SS teacher in my school, so I wanted to start this blog to connect with other teachers out there who might be in the same boat. 

I love projects, collaboration, genius hour, daily 5, technology integration, and helping my students realize that learning is fun! :)
